Inflight wireless

Posting from the air today...en route to the OC. First experience w/ inflight wifi & so-far-so-good! Makes time FLY by (can't resist the pun, sorry for my cheesiness), actually can't believe it took them this long to figure out how to do it.

So while I'm wireless @ 20,000 feet, I can PLAN ANOTHER TRIP WHILE I AM TRAVELING! The ridiculousness of this does not escape me, but I just can't resist. Hooked!

What's up with this blog?

I'm one of those crazy people who has the "travel bug." I am lucky enough to have been to a decent amount of places in my lifetime, so I'm not complaining, BUT, there's so much out there to learn about, explore, and experience.

I once read an article in a magazine that claimed there are really only two things one needs to travel: time and money. It is very rare in our lifetime that we have an abundance of both...when we have time on our hands, we are typically out of work and lack funding, and when we have money to spare, we are working so hard for it that we can't find the time to do anything else! I am on a quest to find the balance.

This blog will report on places I go, things I've learned there, and, probably most frequently due to points listed above...the places I am dying to go. Planning trips/vacations is one of my favorite hobbies. To the extent that sometimes I think I have more fun planning the trip than I do ON the trip! I only wish Travel Agent was still a viable career option, it would be perfect for me! As embarrassing as it is to admit, I have an arsenal of trips/vacations already planned that I may never even take. But, hell, if I do get the chance to go to New Zealand, I already know my itinerary!
